Welcome to Mend It Now Handyman Services! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, as well as the services we provide. By accessing our website, or scheduling a service, you agree to abide by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

2. Services Provided

Mend It Now Handyman Services provides minor home repairs and handyman services, including but not limited to light electrical, minor plumbing, and general repairs. We do not offer appliance repair, countertop installation, roofing, carpet work, wallpaper installation, or work above a second-story roofline. We provide emergency and after-hour services for an additional charge.

3. Scheduling & Cancellations

  • All service requests must be scheduled through our website, phone, or text.

  • A $25 property assessment fee applies for all on-site estimates, which is waived if the service is booked.

  • Customers may cancel or reschedule appointments with at least 24-hour notice. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee.

  • The company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services due to unforeseen circumstances.

4. Pricing & Payments

  • Project pricing can be job-based, hourly, or a flat fee for a specific service, whichever is most accommodating for the project.

  • A $135 minimum charge applies to all projects.

  • A $40 material pickup fee applies if the technician needs to acquire materials for the job.

  • Additional charges may apply for specialty work, vaulted ceilings, hard-to-reach areas, and premium installations.

  • Accepted payment methods: Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, CashApp, Zelle, Venmo, Checks, and Cash (subject to management approval).

  • Payments must be completed before the technician leaves the property.

5. Liability & Warranty

  • Mend It Now Handyman Services is not liable for damages resulting from pre-existing issues, customer-supplied materials, or work performed outside the agreed scope.

  • Our work is warranted for a period of one year, covering labor-related defects but not normal wear and tear or misuse.

  • Customers must inspect work upon completion and report any concerns immediately.

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers must ensure technicians have access to the service location.

  • Customers are responsible for providing required materials unless agreed otherwise.

  • Customers must maintain a safe working environment and disclose any hazards.

  • Unauthorized persons, including children and pets, must be kept away from the work area.

7. SMS Communications

Message Types: Customers may receive SMS messages for the following purposes:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders

  • Service updates and notifications

  • Promotional offers and discounts

  • Customer feedback requests

Message Frequency: Customers can expect to receive messages approximately once a week or as needed based on service interactions.

Data Rates Notice: Message and data rates may apply depending on the customer's mobile carrier.

Opt-Out Instructions: Customers can opt out of SMS messages at any time by texting STOP. To receive assistance, text HELP.

8. Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. Our website collects the necessary information to provide our services. We do not sell or share your information with third parties except as required to fulfill service requests or comply with legal obligations.

 

9. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, and materials on our website are the intellectual property of Mend It Now Handyman Services. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited.

 

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes arising from our services will be addressed through good-faith negotiation.

  • If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled through mediation or arbitration before pursuing legal action.

  • Customers agree to waive any class-action claims against the company.

11. Amendments to Terms

Mend It Now Handyman Services reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
